Hi, I’m Hannah
I'm a licensed professional counselor, therapist, mom, and one of the co-founders of The Bloomhouse Women's Counseling Collective in Fort Collins. And I really, really love my job.
I feel incredibly lucky to get to sit with people during some of the hardest, most confusing, and most meaningful seasons of their lives. There is something pretty amazing about watching someone begin to understand themselves in a new way, recognize a pattern they've been stuck in for years, heal something they thought they'd have to carry forever, or finally start showing up in their relationships in the way they've always wanted.
It is an honor to be a witness to that kind of growth.
A lot of my work centers around helping people understand the why behind the things they do. Why does this relationship trigger me so much? Why can't I stop overthinking? Why do I feel like I'm never enough? Why do I keep repeating the same patterns even though I desperately want something different? Why did becoming a mom bring up so much anxiety, anger, or emotion that I didn't expect?
I love helping people uncover those answers and then actually do something with them. My work focuses on anxiety, attachment, trauma, birth trauma, EMDR, motherhood stress, and relationships—especially helping people recognize the patterns that have been running in the background of their lives and giving them the tools to create something different.
I'm especially passionate about working with women because I've seen—and experienced—just how much women are expected to carry.
From the single postpartum doctor's appointment to the lack of support once you're deep in the trenches of motherhood, to navigating huge hormonal and identity changes with very little preparation, women are often expected to figure it all out while simultaneously meeting impossible expectations about how we should look, parent, work, manage our homes, and maintain our relationships.
Womanhood is a lot. And I believe women deserve a lot of support.
They deserve somewhere to exhale, be cared for, ask questions, heal, and feel less alone. That's a huge part of why I helped create The Bloomhouse.
